Today is the United Nations Day for all the International Days. It is United Nations Day!

On their site, they posted the following:

"Building Back Together for Peace and Prosperity:

A symbol of hope for global unity

United Nations Day, on 24 October, marks the anniversary of the day in 1945 when the UN Charter entered into force. UN Day, celebrated every year, offers the opportunity to amplify our common agenda and reaffirm the purposes and principles of the UN Charter that have guided us for the past 76 years."

The FCNL, Friends Committee on National Legislation, said of International Peace day earlier this month, "Today is not a day for despair or frustration. It is a day to recommit to the work of peace and to hope for the future." I hope the UN finds a way to keep doing it and doing it better.

My colleagues and friends, Consider joining or donating to FCNL.

What inspires me, are the Global Goals. I hope they change for the better the world. I hope my students align their lives so they help create a planet that is sustainable for all life and societies. The Global Goals:
